Our Party, Our Call.

I refer to the article in the STAR quoting Liow Tiong Lai as saying he will accept the unity plan if everybody is in agreement. He is also quoted as saying that he has decided not to go to court over the ROS’s decision on the deputy presidency.

As an MCA delegate, I hope and pray that Liow will re-think his stand, assuming the quotes in the STAR were correctly reported. The ROS cannot tell us who our Deputy President is, as it is us who have to decide that. And we have proven through our ballots that Soi Lek is not the person we want in charge.

What is this unity plan our so called leaders talk about? We have not been briefed, we have not been asked and neither have we been consulted about this plan that aims to unite us.

Let me say this - we at the grassroots are united, united in the belief that corrupt and immoral candidates cannot lead the party. We are united in the belief that the party is bigger than its individuals and we believe in the unity of the Chinese community and Malaysians at large.
